Nomoremoney, why do you have to be so cynical every time you post? As Jan has said there are brokers out there who can help so I would say to anyone hoping to get a mortgage, don't give up.
very glass half empty attitude.[:)]

Post Iva and ex bankrupt mortgage links..very clear..sit down before you read it. Now why can't Ryan's money website post all this? This is what I wanted to know Kallis, had to find it myself.

Interesting but not encouragingly so. Make up your own mind...
Now we know the state of play. You need 40% -50% deposit to have a chance and 3 years after your iva completed.
Mission impossible for many given the economic downturn.....
Guess I am been negative again...No, actually...I let the facts speak for themselves.

There's a few posters on here that he's helped before they have been three years out of the IVA and I'm sure at least one of those didn't have that high a deposit.
If you don't ask, you don't get.

I won't be wanting another mortgage but the fact that some posters have managed it is,really encouraging for others.

I know this thread comes from before xmas, but I just had to post. I may be out of my iva in april 2012 and as its a fandf offer it will still be on my file for another 5 years as I will be out of year 1 of this iva. My first iva failed after 3 yars...today I was given great news that yes there are mortgages out there for us and the deposit is 20 to 30 per cent. I went to ryan and 2 outside brokers so its not all doom and gloom out there after your iva..maybe it depends on the individuals occupations etc I don't know. Keep posive.
Yes liz he was great and we wil be going with him when ready. Just had to post as I was on google for something else and it popped up. Have to keep positive don't you and keep your spirits up. Thought if someone else does a search they will see its not all doom and gloom. ryan helped me no end today. I chatted to others and they all confirmed what he said. Ryan was straight forward and helpful ...
Given the size of the sub prime market before things went belly up it is clear that the market will always exist, and while the lending may not stretch to 125%LTV mortgages,it was never going to disappear for long.
The problem many in an IVA have will mean that rather than an extra 12 months in lieu,a costly remortgage at a rubbish rate will be needed instead.

Can't see any of us being able to get a remortgage deal to release equity anytime soon Paul.

I do not want to get in to a debate on this, but do feel the negative comments above are not fair, especially without expert knowledge on mortgages. Let people ask the experts.
The success i have had for members of this forum so far, speaks volumes for what i can do for people in difficult circumstances.
A note for Nomoremoney, please note you are putting a link for people to look at, on a company who charge up to 2% for arranging a mortgage and they are not even an Independent company, so cannot offer the whole of market offering i offer, so no wonder they only quote the limited offering for people in IVA's.
Recommendations is how i built my business, and so far the help i have given to the forum members and the recommendations i have had since, only proves to me i am doing the job right.
