Just looked up the edinburgh gazette to see if our name was in there with regards to our pending trust deed, and sure enough there it was. I hope the mother in law doesnt read the edinburgh gazette coz the wife would go mad if her mother found out how much debt we were in!!!!
Oh well another step in the right direction I hope!!

Ah plasticdaft, at least it's done now, and you're right, it is a step in the right direction. I'm sure no one reads them anyway. Viki X

Aye,lets hope no one reads it hehe. Good day today, phoned the car finance company to tell them that the direct debit for car loan was due out tomorrow from a bank account with nothing in it. Made a payment with my shiny new co op visa electron card and set up a D/D for next month, the woman at RCI(renault finance) couldnt have been more helpful if she tried, what a change to get decent service.
Tomorrows mission is to set up new D/D's for the 2 lots of dog insurance and maybe sky tv too!!!

Little bit at a time, steady as she goes!!!

You can do Sky online no need to call, as I just did. I did 17 DDs and 3 had to have it in writing, 5 did it online and 9 via a phone call. Dont woory about the paper, I'm sure your family are still celebrating Celtic winning the league lol!!!!!

Did most of mine either online or via the phone. The only one I had problems with the was the AA. The membership is my daughters and we got it for her as part of her Christmas present last year. The money comes from my account. When I phoned up and tried to change it, they refused as she hadn't given me authority to discuss her account!

Didn't matter that all I wanted to do was change bank accounts to my new one, I didn't want to discuss anything else! Even though I told them the bank account wasn't hers it was mine they refused to do it.

I know the Data Protection act is there for just that - protection, but when the details are mine, and I had no problems setting it up for her - she didn't even need to be there then I can't see the problem.

Well done, try not to worry about the paper, probably the only people who will see it are creditors and people like yourself, waiting for their name!! lol
You've done the right thing and you are facing upto your problem, the responsible way, don't let anyone tell you otherwise.
Best of luck
It's nice to be back......
