So my update is that they have arranged the variation meeting for 29th September. Just feels like they are dragging things out so much.

I queried that the IVA could still be closed despite a PPI claim and they said that if the creditors do not agree then they can not close the IVA until PPI has been fully investigated and that this is under the terms of their governing body.

Is there a specific ombudsman /governing body I can take a complaint up with? In hoping the meeting outcome will be in my favour but if it is not this will go on for a long time and I feel is unfairly holding me back.

Any advice? Am I being too brash and unreasonable?

Complain directly to them and also to the Insolvency Service.

Ask specifically for a copy of those terms but also reference that the Insolvency Service has formally stated that by itself outstanding PPI should not be a reason for not issuing a CC.

Also point out that such delays defeats the object of offering a full and final.

They do not need creditor agreement because they have already accepted the full and final. The variation meeting is basically just going to mean that they can take more out of the pot.

IVA started March 2011, Completed March 2016 and certificate issued 11 days after final payment. It was not always easy but then some of the best decisions aren't.

Hi yes you can complain here: https://www.gov.uk/complain-about-insol ... actitioner but I suggest you complaint to them in writing first and tell them you will be making a formal complaint if they don't resolve your complaint first.

If you do complain in writing then I would send the letter recorded delivery so you have proof of posting and also of the firm receiving the letter.
