Nothing wrong with Birmingham![:D]

It does have some lovely parts, but whereas 20years ago I felt realtively safe to walk the streets, now I don't feel the same. Even in my own neighbourhood, which used to be one of Birmingham's nicer ones.

I know the city centre well having worked there, and love it for shopping and some of the social scene (not Broad Street though -waaaay too expensive!)

I agree that I wouldn't want to live there though!

Aiming to come but depends on date, as like others we are going away for a few cheap nights in the tent.......will be nice to put faces to names etc! Birmingham not ideal for all unless accomodation is cheap.....and I mean cheap...but it depends on how much you want to meet and talk to others who won't judge you and will offer kind words of encouragement !

Accommodation normally works out at about £40 per room.

I'm sure that other FF meetings will be arranged in different parts of the country as they have been before.

If I may just say something here....
Love or hate birmingham and I personally have a love of it and its people. Its central so those north or south, have a chance. North or south of it, above it or below it, everyone has a chance of getting to it.

Its in Sept so plenty of time sort out kids, money, scratch your watch and wind your butt. Nothing anyone does here is going to please everyone. The offer is there and the drinks are free. I think its very kind of Andy and Melanie myself.

So, be positive, be happy and be there. Being there is what this forum is all about, right?

Couldn't agree more Lily - it is central for most people.

Unless we are away, we will be there - hope to meet up with you again Lily as well.

Third week in September will probably be ok for us - only just read that bit![:D] If we go away it will be at the beginning of the month.

It is a good night out. Accommodation if you are stopping is not expensive and usually that is all you have to pay as the food and drink are catered for by the sponsor.

Look forward to Andy providing us with a date so I can put it in my calendar.

i am going to come, but due to the fact i am now out of an iva, i will pay for my own drinks.

I think the fact the melaine and andy sponsor is good, other wise people could not afford to go, so i think its only right i pay for my own drinks

We're going to have to give this one a miss unfortunately - we are going away at the end of September and there's no way we can afford petrol to Birmingham and accommodation. Hopefully there'll be another one soon!
