Well - going forward - when you move to a DMP - what happens if your debts have been sold in the meantime? Do you pay the original figure - or does the new lower figure go into the DMP? (and come to think of it - same question re. F & F.offers?)

Shouldnt the IP distribute funds to creditors on every anniversary/review of the IVA.? is DFD allowed to hog all the payments for 2 years??

I think they can, I think that the first 2 years are generally made up of fees, but not entirely sure.

ANDY, hit the nail perfectly on the head. He said that some responsibility has to be laid with the IP for not recognising that the IVA may fail. Thats why I am so pleased with Melanie. She spotted this almost instantly from my posts and our converstation. Thanks to Melanie, we are now starting the route to BR. We have 2 babies to consider, and this is 100% the best route for us. Thanks to our IP, we were given sound advice and placed on the right track. This forum has also been a Godsend.

Good luck Charlotte and I would definitely investigate further. Keep stress free, baby is the most important thing right now.

IVAs are extremely difficult and I praise anyone who manages one. That is not to say that BR is the easiest path. Its not! We are having just as much stress, fear and heartache for choosing this path. But at least we know that it 'feels right' and this time I am 100% sure and committed.

Hi rachell,

Ive heard mixted reports about DFD so I dont know what to expect off them, I just hope they are as good as Clearstart have been.
