Hi eh and thank you for your very kind comments. They do mean a lot to me I can assure you, and make me feel that what we do in this profession is extremely worthwhile.
I have always taken the view that to be successful in this marketplace you have to be completely unjudgemental and treat others as you would expect to be treated yourself. Kindness costs nothing and can be priceless to people who are suffering enormous financial stress and suffering, and in my book the only way to handle this type of work is to take a hands-on approach and offer a very personalised service. IPs who are unable to do that, and rely on a factory-farmed process, I feel miss out on so much of the "feel-good-factor" experiences that I encounter every day when my clients IVAs get accepted, or when we are able to steer someone down the route of debt freedom.
A friend of mine successfully became an adoptive parent last year, and the absolute joy her little bundle brought is incredibly moving. When things are really bad, and creditors are hounding at the door, this fades into insignificanve compared to major life changing events such as this.
