Hi we finished our iva last november after 5 years and are looking to move house. We managed to get a mortgage mid iva so probably could go through the same broker but would prefer to go to the high street if possible. Does anyone know of anyone who would consider giving us a mortgage and what kind of deposit would they be after? Thanks for any advice. x

Hi Rebeccab, congratulations on completing your IVA and I'm sorry I can't help you with mortgage advice but will keep it bumped up for someone who can.
IVA final payment left the bank on the 26th January 2013...looking forward to a debt free future.

Your IVA will drop off after six years. Make sure though that you have no defaults registered after the date of acceptance. If there are, then you need to contact those creditors to get them to remove the defaults.

As to a mortgage, you are going to need a hefty deposit before anyone will consider giving you a homeloan.
