I finished paying into my iva after 6 years in may 2013.....DFD made me wait over two years for my completion cert because they said one of my my ppi claims were still being investigated. I have already recieved 7000 in compensation which all went into my plan. Now my iva is closed and my insolvency practitioners is no longer acting for me, if the outstanding ppi claim is successful, why cant i keep the compensation?

Hi and welcome.

Unfortunately the PPI is an asset of the creditors so they will keep it.

The PPI existed during the lifetime of the IVA and, as such, is an asset of that arrangement.
My opinions are merely that .. opinions based on experience. Always seek professional advice.
IVA Completed 23rd July 2013 .... C.C. 10th January 2014
