I am sure you will - either by doing what you have been doing or your IP firm pulling their finger out. Let us know how you get on - don't forget to tell them what I advised you to do in an earlier post.

IVA company is absolutely amazing. I have spoken with them yet again today after sending an email to my IP personally. Only to find out this morning that the IP passed this email onto one of his staff to deal with.

I have been told basically to find somewhere to live first then get in touch with us. They need me to supply them with a new expenditure form with what my outgoings will be. So much for letting them know my intentions. Would it have been easier just to stop the payments and tell them after.

I dont really feel they are looking after my interests as such. they seem to be no help whatsoever.

So much for the personal touch. I havent even mentioned the fact that should I write to my creditors myself. Can I actually do that?

*Rant over* for now

Sorry - you did post that earlier, but I was being lazy. Thanks for the info - I suggest that you send another e-mail to your IP stating that you wish to deal with him/her personally, and to explain the reasons to you why they are refusing to do this.

You will find that you have hardly any contact with your IP and that all communication goes through his office (Debbie ??).

My last annual report didn't arrive until 3 months late, even after me ringing to see what was happening. Obviously we are on edge as it is, without adding to the stress.

Saying that, when I started my IVA I lived with my father, but as the IVA has progressed I have changed jobs, moved out and had a baby[:0].

In these times MAZARS were very supportive and adjusted to my circumstances (not reducing the payments but being flexible when judging to hand over 50% of any pay extras).

Talk about making life harder for ones self...LOL
Not sure what happened but I am all paid up and finished...they even owe me money now :)))

Thank you for your post hammer. Yes The exact one. I tried ringing again on Friday but couldnt speak with him or the lady that was dealing with my case. SO I spoke to someone I had previous dealings with.

I didnt investigate other IP's at the time and I have read so many familiar stories on here.

With the contact that I have had with them so far it doesnt seem that I am going to get anywhere with them. But I will just wait to see what is said this week. They have said if I can offer 15K they will put the offer forward.

My family members have agreed to give me a gift of 8K, the student loans company have to return the money that they have been taking for the past three years which is around 2.7K plus the time from when I made the query I would have paid them a further £1215. That comes up to £11915. I can make that up to 12K rather than the 15K which they have asked for.

I was just amazed at them telling me the current ecoonomic climate is not reason enough for them to tell my creditors and the fact that I said I need to move out didnt seem to phase them at all.

I really cant continue like this. I need to move out and move on. Ive been living with family for the past 3 years and everyone is feeling the strain. Then their response was oh "when you move out, we can review it then." That isn't good enough.

I have been given a breach letter because I havent been paying the extra on top that the student loans have been taking out. This I have explained to them. I am also amazed that I had to sort out the student loans company myself. They have been taking money but then ask me to contact the loans company myself.

I think this week will be the final straw and I will determine what my other options are.

Knowing how much they charge (which I will not go into[:(!]), I think this is shocking.

The exact same one hammer. Debbie. Also there was another one `caroline`. They dont seem too interested in putting forward my offer. And what really got me annoyed was the fact that I sent a personal email to my IP. Which was passed onto caroline to deal with. I have never spoken to my IP personally and in all correspondence he says to contact Debbie or Caroline with any issues.

So at the moment I have been told to submit a new expenditure form with my new outgoings on there. Then they will decide whether to put the offer forward until then they can't do anything.

I have read quite a few threads on this board and all of the IP's here seem to go that extra mile and there is a more personal touch. I am actually kicking myself that I didnt find this board sooner. My own fault for not looking hard enough I guess.

It would seem to me that Mazars have bigger fish in their pot to deal with. I am just a small one. My debt seems small compared to the companies they deal with as stated in their website.

But I do believe that if you are handing over thousands of pounds to someone to provide you with a service that person should at least have some sort of common courtesy to give you a few moments of their time.

Melanie I will send a personal email to my IP again but I suggest in his company's structure is one where my email would just end up in the hands of one of his 'minions' as someone on this board so politely put it yet again.

As they hae kindly awarded me with a breach letter. It would be quite simple for my IP to terminate the IVA. Keep their money and forward the remainder to the creditors. Id be back to square one and have wasted thousands on a rather expensive excercise.

Has anyone ever contacted their creditors outside of an IVA. I know this would be highly unethical but I guess I have reached the point of grasping for straws right now.

Which office of Mazars are you actually dealing with? I know the IP based in Bristol quite well, and could have a word if you like. I am sure that they would not relish such bad publicity and would want to do something to help.

David Mond is bound to know them - perhaps he can have a word for you if you get no joy. It is not acceptable for an IP to not take a call from a client, or respond to an e-mail - even if they delegate the task to a colleague, they should never delegate the responsibility.
