Hi Everyone,

I am currently about to make an F&F settlement tommorow but am wondering something. I will have a gift from my GF to pay it off but I am wondering how much to offer upfront. I will have definate 6K, and with some other funds should come to bout

Hasn't this already been the subject of a lengthy post earlier this/last week?

Sorry melanie, it was, but found out yesterday that her car will only get 6K and she as also making it up with abonus which we found out is less now, so it is likely going to be 8K but a chance it could be only 7K, so I was wondering I may offer the 7K which I can get for definate but if thats too low, dont want it to affect it and they then dont end up accepting 8K when its offered as I have an option of borrowing the extra 1K off a family member

You can offer whatever figure you like - but of course there is no guarantee of acceptance. Please discuss this directly with your IP who is better placed than me to answer specific questions about your case.
