Hi,

I am in the process of working out what I can offer as a F&F settlement which I am getting from my GF, but i have read a few posts and is it true you need a reason to make a F&F settlement, as in wage lower or cant make payments etc. As, at the reason I am making a F&F is because I am getting this money from my GF and want to pay it off. Will I get rejected straight away then?

I wouldn't have thought so. The fact that you have managed to get the money should be enough I imagine.

Hi
You do not have to have a reason other than the fact that a third party is willing to lend you the money IF it is used to settle youe IVA.Remember to state that your disposible income will be used to repay the third party
Good Luck

Best of luck with the offer. A lot of creditors are tending to favour these at the moment. xxx

Cheers for the support, I am off on tuesday so am going to make the offer then.

Am going to ask for a F%F settlement and i am willing to offer 8K which I can pay in April and its a gift from my GF and any disposable Income I have will go towards paying my GF back. Does this sound about right and all I need to tell them or discuss?

Hi
Remember to state that the gift will only be made if it is used to conclude your IVA.

Ok Cheers andydavie,

I mean if I ask for this F&F and they reject it, will they come back with what they are willing to accept or will they just reject it and not offer anything.

Also if I offer this F&F, the fact that i am asking them to wait till april, even though i will be paying monthly payments till then, will this put them off than if I just said I can pay it within the month. And if for some reason, the F&F money doesnt come through once Ive agreed to pay it, how will that affect my IVA

I would probably think your IVA would carry on as before if you dont get the money to go F&F.
Discharged today the 8th feb 2012. View is much brighter now.
