Hi everyone

I began my IVA with BE which was then taken over by Grant Thornton. I made my last payment sixteen months ago and I am still waiting for completion! Each time I call, or more recently email (as nobody is ever free to discuss the issue) I get told a different excuse. As you can imagine I am not best pleased and would like somebody in the know to give me some idea what could be happening.

I did not miss a single payment and kept to my side of the deal. I was informed it would take between three to six months for completion. What can the excuse for sixteen months be?

I read on another post that they had a delay as Grant Thornton was claiming back PPI. If this is the case with me then I will go bananas! The service has been poor, the communication has been shocking and what should have been a period of starting my life over has turned into a complete nightmare - I still cannot set up a direct debit to pay my bills!

Any information would be greatly received.

Mark2

I suggest that you contact Karol Wilson who is the GT representative on the forum. She has helped many forum posters get a resolution to the celay in case closures.

The day I receive my completion certificate I think I will pass out with shock. I write on here constantly adding months to my wait. It is 18 months on Thursday !!! I have had some very nice e mails from G T thanking me for my patience but some day my patience will run out and very soon. Why are people like me and I know there are others waiting this length of time but not many given priority to close their cases as it is very annoying to read of people receiving their certificates in a couple of months. Karol if you read this can you please try again to help us .

18 months geordie123! I thought 16 was bad enough for poor mark2. I can't get my head round it - it's scandalous, and so very unfair. This nonsense needs to be challenged in court ASAP. Hope you both get sorted soon. x

Eighteen months is unacceptable - everything should be sorted way before that.

Good luck Geordie and Mark. These waits are unacceptable and I have to say my patience would have run out long before now!

Thanks everyone.

Eighteen months! I feel for you Geordie123. How this can happen? We keep to our side of the deal and get screwed over!
