I seem to remember reading that Simon Cowell was bankrupt as well.

Hiya Maz

They can only go Br if they are insolvent, they have so much locked up in assests that its more profitable for the creditors for them to go bankrupt than to accept a lower offer in an IVA.

At the end of the day, they cant pay their debts, the same as us. I reckon it may even be more difficult for them than it is for us, they are recognised everywhere, even though they wanted that fame and attention. The culture here is celeb culture, how hard must it be for a celeb to live frugally??? Our annonimity is a priceless treasure.

I say live and let live, whatever she and others like her have done, they surely wouldnt sleep well at night with this hanging over their heads. I doubt she is happy or ever has been, attention seekers never are...

To be honest Lily, I doubt that she has lost any sleep. I just think she is away with the fairies and doesnt understand fully what has just happened. Its the people looking after her 'affairs' that will have been sweating. I imagine that it will be annulled, that the cash will appear from somewhere and no lessons will be learned. Its a shame really, but what can you do?

Iceland paid Kerry £750,000 for her work.....to go BR is unforgiviable.....the late Mike Reid had 100 million pounds but owned 100 million pounds......just goes to show people doesn't under finance till they are in front of a judge

I'm puzzled by the situation as I thought when Bankrupt, that was it.But Max Clifford, her publicist has said that she has the money to pay the Tax Man and will be seeking to overturn the Bankruptcy Order next week and get it annulled. He's blaming her financial Advisor for not ensuring the funds were cleared on time.Mmmm, will be interesting to see what happens next week.
IVA accepted 13/11/2008..17 payments down,55 to go..

And the bankruptcy will be annulled and she will go on and sell her story for a ridiculous ammount of money to some trashy magazine.
