In the process of entering into an IVA (Melaine Giles). Nat West called work on Wednesday, I was not available, receptionist asked if she could take a message, their reply. 'are you allowed to take confidential messages?' her response no, they said who they were and the message was taken. No information given
Today they called, i was in a meeting they left a message saying and I quote, this is the Nat West Collections Office, can they please call back, we are open until 9.00pm. Heaven knows what they would have said if she said she was able to take a confidential message. Are they allowed to do this, definately going to call Ange at Melanie Giles office tomorrow so not happy.
That is absolutely disgraceful and needs to be complained about. There will be little we can do, but I definately think that you should refer this up the chain in Natwest for a complaint - and follow this up with the threat of going to the Banking Ombudsman if necessary.
What an absolute disgrace! They should not be doing anything like that.
Just tell people at work that you are having a few problems with them as they say you are missing a payment and you know that you have paid it.
Might stop them from wondering what is going on.

I think it's terrible too and would be mortified myself if it happened but I can almost feel a very strong letter coming on in respect of this, do complain as others have said this is not right.
IVA final payment left the bank on the 26th January 2013...looking forward to a debt free future.
I was off work for a week and had american express call 20 times!!!! Told the employer that it was their fraud department checking an irregular spending pattern! :-O
Disgraceful behaviour though. Once approved though it does stop. Think the postman must think that I've emigrated!
It really is just another tactic in the arsenal of nasty tricks collections departments will use unfortunately and is to be expected.
Not sure that complaining will do any good, but they should be warned that contacting you via your employer is not on and that it could get you sacked if it continues, and where will they get there money from then???
Scumbags all of them and I dont know how they sleep at night(although for every 1 person who cannot pay you probably have 3 that just dont want to pay!!)

Discharged today the 8th feb 2012. View is much brighter now.

That's a good one to use Bergy, another one is that they are trying to sell you insurance. However it shouldn't come down to that and it is about time there was more regulation on what the call centres can, and cannot do.
It's not a job I could do, that's for sure.

That's awful. Glad to see Natwest (mainly owned by the taxpayer!) being sympathetic to those with a problem. I would definitely escalate my complaint as high as I could.
I would certainly create a bit of a stink about it!
