I had a number of missed calls (I refuse to answer calls from numbers I don't recognise) from a company who, from searching for the number online, turns out to be EIC.
Further research of the company reveals they are used by IVA companies to reclaim bank charges and PPI. This led me to searching on here and seeing many threads about them.
Now. I have not had any letter, email or phone call about this company from GT. I am not happy my details have been passed on without my prior knowledge or consent.
Also, I NEVER took out PPI on anything. Neither did my husband. So there is nothing to claim back. There have been bank charges here and there but they were fair and notified in advance. To seek a claim for them seems morally wrong to me.
It is coming up to a year since my variation meeting for the full and final to end our IVA. Our case was originally passed to closures on 11 December but due to one of our creditors being a complete pain we had a further variation meeting, adjourned numerous times, to sort out an increased claim.
I was assured our claim was back with closures and being expedited. Now I'm wondering whether that is the case. Email duly sent to closures to enquire but just asking on here for comments/advice. I did not give my consent for this so where do we stand?
Thanks to GT for contacting me very promptly! They apologised for me not being notified about this company and as I have never taken out PPI they have informed them of our wish to opt out.
