Well, I am now a seller on ebay. We have been meaning to start this for ages but kept putting it off. So the other day I decided to put a few items for sale (4 books and 2 dvds) to see how it goes.

Well it was so easy to list them, and we have had 4 bids on a dvd. The others arent getting any action yet but they dont end until tomorrow! Anyways, I am getting excited now knowing that I will have my first sale. [:D][:D]
Its now time to start living and to make some some wonderful memories!

I was addicted to start off with, but I found my interest waned after a while.

I have a load of stuff to put on there, but I can't be bothered to go through the rigmarole of photographing the stuff and listing it at the moment!

Well, our first item has sold. It was a fitness dvd. I started it at 99p and it went for 4.20. :-) I have put a Nintendo ds on today and there is a watcher already.

And Kath, you are right. I am addicted already. I kept putting it off thinking it would be a hassle and its so easy.

This weekend I am going to get my stepchildren to have a good sort out. My stepdaughter is outgrowing all her dolls now so she will have loads. She has 2 dolls prams and loads of High School Musical stuff which always seems to go well. xx

If you're selling your own unused stuff I think it's ok, someone will come along and confirm, so long as you're not running a business I think it is x

It only becomes a business if you are buying or making to sell for profit.

If you are selling unwanted items that you have owned this is different x

That's right - if it is purely your own unwanted stuff you are selling, you are allowed to that.

If it's a business then it should be declared to the IP.

And HMRC Jan - if you are buying or making things to sell for profit (even a hobby business)
Then is has to be declared to HMRC x

Very true! The stuff I sell is just my old stuff - must get round to listing it!
