I really don't like selling on Ebay as everything is so geared towards the buyer. I think the fees and Paypal fees are stupidly high and it really annoys me that the seller can't leave negative feedback for a buyer. Grrrrrrr!

The limit is 100 a month if you are a private seller.

I agree Skip that you should be able to leave negative feedback if someone doesn't pay. I'm still waiting for payment for three articles that finished on Tuesday.

100 items a month, well there's something amiss with my eBay account then as I haven't listed 100 items in 2 years, never mind a month and they still won't let me list trainers or clothing.

I need to shift myself and put some things on ebay...I'm good at buying, but lazy when it comes to listing! I now make sure I can only buy if I have funds in my ebay account, so selling here I come!

I'm waiting for one lot of feedback as well - wouldn't mind but he was late paying and late picking up the item from the post office (I always do recorded!). It is soooo annoying.

I always leave feedback as soon as I get an item and have it set up so that an automated reply goes on when I have postiive back as a seller.

Well out of 15 items this time I have had 2 non-payers. I wouldn't mind if they just told me they had changed their mind but absolutely no communication at all.

That is so annoying kazzafunk, I just don't understand why anyone would bid for an item and not pay.

I do think that sellers should be able to put negative feedback if somebody doesn't pay. It's happened to me a couple of times and it's so annoying!

I always pay straightaway when I buy anything.

Agreed Jan - Sellers used to be able to leave negative feedback up until around 5 years ago but then Ebay moved the goalposts and put the odds against the Seller in giving and receiving fair feedback by removing the Sellers' facility to leave negative, so there isn't a level playing field between Sellers and Buyers on Ebay nowadays. I had loads of hassles with picky, pedantic buyers and had a lot of NPB's over the years, so I quit selling a few years ago and just use Ebay for buying now, as there are a lot of dorks out there giving Ebays Sellers' a hard time !

I would only ever leave negative if someone didn't pay so I don't see why they can't reinstate that part of it.

Hi all, I'm new to the forum having had my IVA approved 2 months or so ago. If wonder if someone might answer a question regarding EBay/selling goods please. Am I right in assuming that personal goods sold do not constiute a "windfall" - and therefore the money is not required to be paid in to the IVA? I recently sold some old camera equipment to my local camera shop for a good sum. It's not really a windfall and it's not an income. Just reading this thread today has made me a tad worried! Thanks, Sean
