thank you for your responses, Im a little calmer tonight! hope you all have had a restful and happy xmas !!!
I am still awaiting the completion certificate following the statement of fact I sent in to dfd as I have no missold PPI claim to pursue. (however I have had a missed call from them again today)
I am still convinced that DFD are acting in their own interests when it comes to PPI claims, creditors would have written this debt off a long time ago. My creditors have all received their dividend payments and Im sure they would like to get this case closed as much as me. I do agree that IVAs can help certain people in debt but for others with no equity bankrupcy would be a better option which should be considered before entering into an IVA agreement.
Hi Rachew welcome to the forum, I too can feel your frustration over this whole fiasco having been caught up in it to the nth degree as most of the forum is aware at the moment. Looking back to when i took out my IVA i was worried, stressed and didn' know which way to turn, taking out my IVA was the best thing for me, whilst it isn't for everyone it certainly has given me peace of mind and now a debt free future too. I wouldn't recommend certain firms, most of you know who those are but there are others i wouldn't hesitate should anyone ask me. I hope that you are sorted very soon, take care and be safe. x
Om shanti, namesté, good luck to all who are embarking on the IVA journey, it isn't always an easy one but the outcome is the best.
IVA COMPLETED August 2012, received Completion certificate 18.4.13.

This is why the PPI element must be investigated even though you are sure that you were not mis-sold any. The likes of DFD are pushing such claims because it is of financial benefit to themselves and also your creditors.
I still wonder whether certain IVA firms are getting backhanders for pushing customers to the likes of EIF.
I know of a few IP's who have admitted to being offering incentives to pass of customers details to certain ppi reclaim firms.
My advice is if you are currently in an IVA,contact lenders yourself to ask them to check for ppi etc, there are many template letters online and its simple to do yourself so stop lining EiF and other ambulance chasing firms pockets!!!
If you arent yet in an IVA do it first if your situation allows, you may not even need an IVA!!!

Discharged today the 8th feb 2012. View is much brighter now.
Continuing to rebuild our credit worthiness.
Ref claiming PPI in the early stages of an IVA - very roughly PPI has only come out of the woodwork in the last 12-16 months ( by my reckoning ) and it just so happens that many of us who were perhaps caught in the IVA explosion of 5-6 years ago have been due to complete in this last 12 months.
The good news for yourself, is that as you are in the early stages of your IVA journey, if there are any claims due on any of your old accounts these will be sorted several years before you are due to complete.
well done for approaching the 12 month mark, stick with it and you will find the years pass by as you enter year 3 , which is only 12 months away for you
Last payment made April 2012

I would imagine that Mel's team have plans in place for the relaiming of any possible PPI - which I am more than happy to part with.
Thank you for your final comment of me approaching the 12 month mark - must admit, I am excited that we will soon be in year 2, but now understand why many worry around review time!!

Nothing to worry about at review time with Melanie`s team.
I`ve gone through my first two yearly reviews with them very simply and completely stress free.
Just keep them up to speed with ANY financial changes as they happen throughout the year, send your pay slips in regularly and send copies of bills as proof of increased outgoings at review time if you`ve had any.

My IVA term is 60 months MrsR, with an equity release clause in the last year.
I wouldn`t say that I`ve done well as such, more like managed to stayed on course up to now.
There have been a few testing situations and I`m sure there are more to come.
I will be amazed if my ten year old boiler lasts another 30 months, and as for all of us, my car is a regular money drainer.
Don`t worry at all about your review MrsR, you will be fine.

I know everyone seems to have testing times within their IVA's and I do think that anyone who takes steps to solve their debt issues are very strong and courageous !
