Hi.

I'm very fortunate to have received my certificate of completion two months after my last payment. The 6 year anniversary isn't until may this year but I cant see my name on the insolvency register??? Could there be an error on the I.r? I was under the impression it had to stay on? until the 6th year

No, as soon as they receive the completion certificate it can be removed. That's my understanding, I stand to be corrected. The 6 years is to do with your credit file as the IVA will still show on the credit file.

It can take up to three months to be removed from the insolvency register. I had my certificate end November and I am off, hubby had his end of October and is still on.

According to their official procedures you are supposed to be removed from the Insolvency Register 3 months after the completion certificate is dated. However, someone there deletes when they pick up the certificate from their in-tray.

As mentioned above, the 6 years relates to the Credit Reference Agency files.
My opinions are merely that .. opinions based on experience. Always seek professional advice.
