Hi, If a person has a joint mortgage does the IVA have to be jointly or can it be with just one single person?

Hi there.
No you dont have to do a joint iva, if you have a joint mortgage. An iva only involves the unsecured debts. Though you may have to release some of the equity if ther is any at some point. Wait for other answers as I am not a technical expert.

That is correct Ang, but does your partner also have debts and are there any other joint debts apart from the mortgage?
