Hi,

I'm in a decision process at the beggining of our IVA. We have had our pack from DFD with lots of errors, I haven't been able to find any positive feedback on any of the websites. So just throwing caution to the wind, I want to know whether anyone has ever completed an IVA with DFD or had a good experience???? Otherwise I don't want to go into a long process with them, plus my situation is rather complicated!

Your advise is much apprecited...

Thanks

Lisa

Can you tell us a little more about why your case is so complicated? You generally find that the larger the IP firm, the less likely they are to want to take on difficult cases - but I cannot speak specifically for the one you have chosen to represent you.

Debt Free Direct are a reputable company, but whether you use their services or not, you should talk to 2 or 3 providers first as this is a big decision for you and it is important that you feel comfortable both in the advice given (and make sure that ALL options have been discussed, not just IVA) and with your chosen provider as you are potentially going to be with them for a long time.

Go to www.iva.com and read the reviews, speak to 2 or 3 as I say and then let us know how you get on.

Regards.

I am probably going to get shot down in flames for saying this but;

DFD are one of the biggest providers and as such they like the straight forward, you know? Quantitiy. If your case is more complex you may prefer a personal touch, which the smaller companies can provide.

Thought I would stick my ore in just to show that Melanie's fan club is quite big - we too are with Melanie.

Yes there have been misunderstandings but they have been from my end and they were soon rectified in a professional manner. This process is a scary, long rollercoaster and Melanie and her team smooth out the bumps along the way!

I hope things work out for you.

If I don't get at least 10 phone calls from you Marie, I will not believe you have read the documents properly!

Seriously, you phone as many times as you like. This is the next five years of your lives that we are talking about, and we have to get this right going forward.
