does an unsuccesfull iva app go against you?

If the iva is unnsuccesfull does anything show up on your credit history (ie you applied for it) providing youve made your payments in the interim? If mine was to be unsuccessfull then my only option would be a secured loan as a last resort as I couldnt go bankrupt.
