Hi, I have just finished the second year of my IVA. Due to my divorce I am now in a positon to offer full and final settlement. Original debt £48,000, I have paid £308.00 for 24 months and have £30,000 to offer. Do you think this would be accepted?

Hi Helen and welcome to the forum

Were any assets originally included in your IVA - for instance did you own a property where you were required to raise equity? On the face of it you are suggesting a very good offer, and this ought to be discussed with your IP as they have detailed knowledge of your case.

Thanks for the prompt reply. No assets were included in the proposal. I have been trying to get this settled for a few months now, Debtmatters ignored my request completely to contact my creditors and Grant Thornton are saying they cannot do anything during the transition period, which is very frustrating. Any ideas on how I can move this forward?

Thanks

I'm meeting the two main GT partners at the end of the month. I will discuss how the project is going and try to ascertain if there is any way that cases like yours can be speeded up.
