Good luck Ang, don't think you'll have any problems with Melanie, we have had a lot of great advice from her, our IP must feel drained when we get off the phone with all the new questions we want answering from information gathered off this forum [:)]

Hi Angela

I had a telephone meeting with Melanie and was petrified thinking about it, as soon as I answered the phone I was at ease and everything went smoothly..I had a pen and paper ready in cas any questis can up and was somewhere quiet so I could concentrate.

Having met Melanie last night I can even more assure you of how great she is - really, genuinely lovely person. We were sharing pics of our dogs like a couple of proud mums!!

Hope all continues to go well for you, although no doubt in my mind it will (just yours!!)

thanks emma x think its just cos you don't know what to expect.. the journey we've had so far has been great, causing alot of soul searching, making us re assess our lives and priorities!!

When you're so low and down, you forget what good and great things you have in your life, and I thank God this has give us the kick up the ass we needed, we need to sort our debt situation out..but we still have a loving marriage and a wonderful daughter.. plus dog, cat and 2 rats!!![:D]

Family values are so important Angela but I know from personal experience how clouded your judgement can be about a lot of things when you finally face up to your debt situation. We got through it with Melanie and she has given us a quality of life back by getting our proposal accepted, I'm not saying we're living the high life but we are living a life, before I would have rather paid the bills than go food shopping, now we go food shopping, not only is it a day out..yes a day for us as we hunt down bargains! We also get to eat proper food. Given us the security back to answer the phone and try and put a little by for the car tax etc., Before we lived on credit cards for day to day expenses, only now can I realise how wrong it was. Lesson learnt and only 3 months into IVA, I can guarantee I will never be in that position again too.

You hang in there and I promise it will be worth it!
IVA final payment left the bank on the 26th January 2013...looking forward to a debt free future.

Ang you will be fine Melanie is lovley and the best in my opinion.Stop worrying. One thing I did do was write down anything I wanted to ask as it is so easy to get in a tizzy on the phone and forget. I always have what my husband calls a senior moment, cheeky boy he has more of those than I do. You are getting there and will soon feel so much better. Good support from hubby is so important. I love that word doofus and you are definately not one.
