Hi, again. I'm so glad your thinking of your wife, now.How awful for her and the family if anything happened to you. It's just awful the way credit is offered to people these days - I'm 'long in the tooth' now, and I was brougtht up with the 'if you cant afford it you cant have it' mentality. Credit was not so easy to come by when we were starting out 25 odd years ago, but i realise peer pressure and the ease of getting creidt cards and loans these days make it difficult for the younger generation.
TRY and keep positive, look after yourself and try and keep strong.
I really hope this new company can help you out.
Please keep posting how things are going and I know you'll get a lot of support from this forum.

I agree Oggler that it is so vitally important that paperwork is read and read and read again until it all sinks in.
For one reason and another, things haven't gone as smoothly for you as you would have liked.
Keep on at GT with the emails and the phone calls. They will get round to you and hopefully they will help to make these last few months of your IVA run as calmly as possible.
We do all understand your frustration but you must dust yourself off ready to fight another day with your wonderful little family right beside you.
Not wanting to pry at all but have you been to see your GP? There are many things that they can recommend that will help you.

Glad you have continued to post Oggler. ;)

not at all kazzafunk i'm not ashamed for feeling this way.
this, along with numerous other things which have happened within my life have all contributed to me being diagnosed with depression and stress,my doctor does indeed know and has refered me to a physcologist.
i'm dealing with it the best way i know how at the moment,my work are no help at all!,indeed they have only added to it and that is a whole other story!.
no,i've felt this way for sometime now,i've had many many sleepless nights, waking up in cold sweats with the bedding ringing wet, feelings of anxiety, not being able to cope with crowds, severe splitting headaches and financial woes going round in my head constantly from morning till night.any smiles and laughter i may have shown was only to hide the sheer despair i was truly feeling.....the only one time i can say i felt truly happy over the past 11 years was when my son was born back in september 2009.....that is the one time nothing else mattered and it was truly, truly bliss.....but unfortunately short lived.
i just wait now to see whether a physcologist helps me in anyway?
but who knows what the next day is gonna bring?,writing on this forum has helped greatly but tomorrow could be a different story.

The forum is always here for you oggler - there will be someone around to help.

You are so close to the end now and I am sure it will all finish for you this autumn.

The forum always helps oggler. Even when you think it won't it will if you can't bring yourself to post then just read it and read the blogs when it's quiet. It's pulled me out of a few dark patches xx

Glad posting has helped you oggler. Mental illness is a nightmare and I totally understand. Keep posting and hopefully you'll be able to get through the next few months and then it will all be behind you.

Just think how wonderful it will feel when you can move on from the last 11 years

Not a nice experience for you to have to recount, granted, but please don't tar us all with the same brush. The majority of IPs take great care to explain the commitment to an IVA to their clients - well those whose practices are of a size that they can still offer such personal service anyway - and we are certainly not crooks.

I am sorry that you have had a bad experience with your own journey, but there are many many people out there who are very happy that they made the right decision, and were well informed before they jumped into it. An IVA is not to be taken lightly, and does need careful explanation and understand from all parties to it.
Regards, Melanie Giles, Insolvency Practitioner

my wife took a phone call from grant thornton today which is the first time we've managed to speak to anyone from there.they gave us some very promising news.with all the info i had already emailed to them and looking over our records from the previous supervisors, they seem to think that we could very well bring this to an end early given our current circumstances.
this news brought tears to both me and my wife i must say.
its early days yet cause its got to be put to our creditors first but heres to hoping.
they also told us that its taken so long to get back to us because of the awful mess blairendersby have left behind, which we can understand given the way that they treated us.
so anybody else waiting for grant thornton to get back to them i would say just be patient,i'm sure they will be in touch very soon.
my wife told me they came across as very polite, thoughtful and helpful when discussing our circumstances, certainly the opposite to what we were used too.
all we can do now is wait, keep our fingers crossed and hope for the best.....uncanny really...especially after writing on this forum only last night, which i must say did help too.
thank you iva forum.

oggler2001-brilliant news,I really feel for you and your family and do hope all this can be brought to an end.
Then you can get back to worrying about the important things in life, family, good friends and your sanity.
You were extremely unlucky in that you were with a company that didnt look after you as well as they should have.
Please try to relax a bit now and let GT sort this mess out for you-they do seem to be a very professional company and I have seen many good comments about them on here.
All the best, fingers crossed for the creditors meeting.
full and final accepted January 2015

iva would have completed; August 2017
