I was expecting a default to drop off my Noddle credit record as the date of default was 27th March 2006, but lo and behold it's still there.

It's a default form the dreaded Egg.

Was I wrong to expect it to drop off automatically, and what do I have to do to get it removed, as without it on there,my record is faultless!

I would write to Egg's Data Controller and request that they remove the default .

Make sure you enclose a copy of your completion letter when you write to them.

Noddle dont appear to update their records very often - it may be worth checking the main credit agencies

Noddle is part of call credit. Most of my call credit defaults appart from the main default first direct were deleted ahead of time. I had to call Call Credit to get them to delete the record.

Try getting the Leeds number from say no to 0870 website, I think that was the one I called and they helped me get rid of it in a day or two after I explained it had been there for longer than 6 years.

Don't write to egg, they are now defunct and their affairs transferred to barclaycard or brittanica recoveries

On the Payplan plus site -

We have received notice that PCO HoldCo have recently acquired a portfolio of debts from Egg Bank Plc.

Another one to look out for.
