I had my debt management company as Debt Free Direct. I found that they didn't get back to me and had a general whirlwind of a time. With Carbane Insolvency now and they seem to be doing my finances some good from Decemeber 2010... Just got myself into some trouble with loans i knew i shouldn't have taken out but when somebody offers you funds then you take them. Im 26 and was in tens of thousands.[:I]

DFD have an excellent reputation on here. We have a poster from there on the forum.

Not heard of the company you are using. Not overly impressed with the information on the website. Would be interested if you could post some more about your circumstances.

Hi
I'm with DFD and whilst I've put a few posts on here before about the lack of communication from them, I've since got my IPs direct email address and have not had problems getting responses. I found that phoning direct was the worse problem I encountered as it seems to be like a general call centre and you don't get the answers you are looking for when you ring, but being such a huge company I guess that's because the person you speak to in that department won't know your case.
We had a bit of an issue last year when we discovered DFD hadn't given us an allowance for school lunches and we were really struggling but we spoke to them and they soon rectified the situation and it has made such a huge difference to our monthly budget and my questions were fully answered.
DFD thanks for solving my issues at the time and my faith has been fully restored!! Things are moving on hunky dory now. Soon be a third of the way through whoopeee!!!

Have to say - we are with DFD and so far no problems - they have been very helpful. When we struggled they allowed us a missed payment and when we struggled paying the extra each month to make up the missed payment they actually suggested to us to stop struggling and to add it on to the end instead. They have also been more than fair at reveiw time making it all so easy.

Admittedly sometime the call centre size causes lack of communication - but I try to do as much as possible on email so I have records and where I speak to people I take names and dept names too.

In addition when I looked up my IP's email address and emailed her direct asking for help ... she replied within a few hours and in the middle of the night to offer us the help we needed so have to say from my point of view so far DFD have been great and we're glad we went with them.
