Was it a fixed penalty? Are you able to do.the speed awareness course? It means you won't get points on your licence and I believe you don't have to inform your insurance company either but I could be wrong about that.

Sorry for the confusion - the £84.00 is for the speed awareness course. I think the fixed penalty would have been £60 plus 3 points but I couldn't risk the increase on my ins policy x

Right. I think they are a great idea and do save some problems later on.

Hi Janez

Sorry that my post is late but I just had to reply

As everybody has already said the IP is there to ensure that you do not struggle so speak to her/him urgently

On a personal level I went through exactly the feelings and emotions that you describe so I really feel for you and your husband right now BUT you cannot even contemplate how wonderful the future months and years are going to be!!...... after 3 years I am a new man - I now live in the real world and my kids now understand 'real' money not the wads I used to throw at them via credit cards

I get £20 out at the cash point like normal people and it feels great (instead of £250 every time)

I make you a promise (metaphorically) - I will shed every tear and smile every smile with you over the next 5 years......... any so will everyone else in the IVA forum (that might sound like emotional clap trap but I do mean it!)
