We had our meeting today and our IVA was approved. My creditors voted 100% in favour and my wifes were 75.6% close or what.
Dont feel jubilant as still feel ashamed of the fact we got in such a mess but do feel a sense of releif that we finally have an end to the problems in sight.
This forum has proved invaluable to us and a great source of information.
Cant thank the Melanie Giles team enough for their advice and guidance throughout. Very comforting when one of your creditors tells you that your choice of IP should be commended.
About 12 weeks since the first phone call to tina we reckon.
Thanks Mel and co.

Congratulations to you both -I like the comment re Melanie - my husband's major creditor refered to her as "an honourable IP" and gave that as the reason for helping us.J

Congratulations!![8D]
Don't feel ashamed, you did the right thing in dealing with your debts and paying back your creditors as much as you can afford.

Well done to Mel and her team.

Fab result for yourself and Melanie and as others say please don't feel ashamed, nothing to be ashamed of in getting a positive result today. Hope your journey is a smooth one.
IVA final payment left the bank on the 26th January 2013...looking forward to a debt free future.

Absolutely delighted, and .6% is good enough for me! You have been a great client to work with, and I am so glad you are pleased with the result.

Well done from me too. As Melanie says .6% will do and often it is sweeter when you get one through at that level because it means you have managed to outvote either a particularly awkward creditor or some very nasty modifications.
