Thanks kassa I m due for a pay rise n hopefully promoted soon,am working on my interview so it's all hectic n can't concentrate.hOpefully then I can contribute more. If My Iva fail or forced bankrupty I can't retain my job n I guess one word if this fail (whichtook me 3 mths with lots of set back) my life will basically in a bigger mess. Won't be able to afford dmp n it's so unsecured, can't take that risk with a little ones that need a roof above his head more than I do.
I have not answered any creditors call ever since I decide Iva, had recently had a debt collection letter I m just thinking creditors must be so p****d off now. I did answer one or two call n they told me off n didn't sound very nice. I have been through so many setbacks my marriage almost didn't survive, I didn't think or believe any good will happen to me anymore. But I had a good and helpful caseworker or is he IP to be, he has to endure my ever emotional state when I had setback, I cry like a baby but he was fantastic, ever so understanding n helpful n not forgetting my IP whom was so professional with very good advise n suggestion, with all my stress n worries that I have endure over the past years n not being able to sleep for many moons without medication to get through the days, these 2 ppl have point me in the right direction n have help me alot. I have faith in them. Even if it was not good news they have been there n I am ever truly so thankful.

Happy - I would unplug the phone if I were you. You are doing the right thing by trying to sort out your debt problem. Keep thinking that. If you do get the promotion you can repay more as it sounds as though that would make you feel better. But I wouldn't beat yourself up about it. There's loads of us in the same boat (and probably many more who haven't tackled the problem yet). You are nearly there now. I think if you get any letters you just tell them that you are entering an IVA? Once accepted you are then protected and hopefully you can start to enjoy life again (without using credit!!). The other thing I would say if you don't mind, is you sound a little depressed? I am being treated for depression (for health reasons - physical and mental) and although my counsellor does not deal with debt problems, we had an hour talking about my plans and it was fantastic to talk to someone away from friends and family. I am getting 6 sessions free through work. Is there any scheme like this with your employment? If not, maybe your GP can arrange something.
I really hope tomorrow brings good news for you.
x

Hi Happy,

We all feel like you do before the meeting and it's no reflection on whether your proposal will be accepted. If all of our gut feelings were right, none of us would be in an IVA!!

You are putting the best offer forward and that is what creditors will see. They don't expect more than you can offer.

Good luck, you're nearly there xx

Happy,
Ours was accepted at 11p in the £ , so your 16p looks positivly huge. Dont worry, your IP wouldn't put it forward without some degree of confidence it will get accepted. Thinking of you today
If life is what you make it, I must have been in a strange mood when I made mine

Hi Happy - not long now! If you do the counselling no-one needs to know about what you are discussing. Glad you have medication for the depression. I have been on them for years and don't know what state I'd be in without them! Let us know asap how it goes. Rooting for you!
