Well everyone we are nearly there. If you have a lucky rabbits foot, four leaf clover, chicken wishbone, or anything else that is lucky. Then please can you give it a little rub for me in the next week.
We have a low dividend, so i need all your luck and prayers. We are with Mel, so i hope she can work her magic. I would like to say a big thankyou to Daryl Jones. Who works for Mel, he is a star, he has always got back to me when i have sent him an email, most of the time within an hour or two. Mel he is fab!
We are proposing a Full and Final, with the help of my dad. He is loaning us everything he has, god bless him. Mel thought our I&E on a monthly IVA was too frugal. Which it was, we did not have any contingency and we had pulled most of the allowances to the bare minimum. Looking over it at the weekend, i realised we hadn't even put prescriptions down. The way my doctors are messing me about, i could end up with god knows how many prescriptions a year.
Normally over the years when you think if i could have one wish. Most of the time we all think, if only i could win the lottery. My wish would be to get our debts sorted out and enough of my health back, so i can go outside. So my children can have their mum back. I think if we do not get accepted, it will finish me off health wise. My partner and children never complain, but i know they must miss me. Even though i am still here, i don't do any of the things i used to.
Well looking at what i am writing i am rambling and it is sounding a little depressing. So wish us luck folks we will need it.
I would like to wish everyone else all the luck in the world, with their IVA. I know there is a few on here with dates coming up next week as well. x x x x x x x

doomandgloom, I wish you all the luck in the world for next week, what a lovely Dad you have. Mel certainly knows her stuff so fingers crossed for the meeting. Like you, I'm with Mel and I can only agree that both herself and her staff rank very highly with me too. I've not had the pleasure of talking to Daryl but I'm sure he's as lovely as the rest.

Just one thought to buy a pre-payment certficate for your prescriptions does save a lot of money so it might be worth looking into and on that note I want to wish you all the best with your health, your partner and children don't moan as they love you very much and do let us know how the meeting goes and once accepted don't forget us and come tell us how you are and how things are going for you.

All the best xxx
IVA final payment left the bank on the 26th January 2013...looking forward to a debt free future.

We've got everything crossed for you doomandgloom - and hopefully your forum name will be a feeling well and truly in the past sometime soon. Darryl is a star as are all the team who beaver away in the background - I'll be sure to tell him of your forum post.

Best wishes and take care of yourself.

Thanks Tina S, i have never had the privilege, to speak to you. But i have read most of your posts. Yes it would be nice for doomandgloom for the sun to come out again.
Thanks Susieq73, I am sending a wish your way, and i hope your creditors meeting goes well. Will be thinking about you. x x x

D&G ... on the 'script front .. have a look at getting yourself a pre-payment certificate (Just shy of £30 at the moment for three months). If you get MORE than just one item a month (£7.40 a pop, so £22.20) you have made the cost back.

Works out even better if you get the years certificate.

It's just over £10 a month - I have one and it's one of the best things I ever did. Doesn't matter how many prescriptions you need.

Without mine I'd be coughing up £45 monthly. (As I only get £11 per month allowances in my I&E it's pre-payment rules!).

It has to be one of the best things ever - interest free and it saves such a lot of money if you take a load of tablets. No worries about credit checks either.

Sounds like the pre-payment certificate in respect of the prescriptions is worth looking into. Luckily I don't need it for myself *touches wood* but worth knowing. x

It really is good. My hubby doesn't need it now as he is over 60 but beforehand it was a godsend - he has thirteen lots of medication a month so you can see how much that would have cost beforehand if he hadn't had the prepayment.

For myself I was on four lots of tablets but these are slowly being whittled down so hopefully I can stop paying monthly soon.
