I am in my second 3 rd year nearly of IVA with credit fix I decided to check credit report. On doing so I found all the payments they said I had with a bank had been settled ages ago.So I demanded a written document stating who I owed and what. After some arguments they sent me a statement and I phoned all the people I owed to .The bank said the accounts were settled and closed and a lot of the others had not been paid at all.I have asked the bank for letters of proof And I am seeing the bank manager next week. These were the ones I owed a large sum to.Now I feel I don't need IVA. And the debts I wanted cleared are old debts from 8 years ago because I was ill and my brother took over account and did not pay any one.He said the best way to get out of it was to change bank accounts . But from 5 years ago I was able to manage but I was worried about getting older and having old debts. Credit fix phoned me and I accepted the worst thing I have ever done. I am complaining.

Ok. here is what *may* have happened..

the banks have sold the debts on, so to them at a casual glance on their systems it will say the account is closed and settled out, hopefully the bank manager will be able to confirm this is the case.

Speak to creditfix as well (also remember if you don;t get an answer that is satisfactory then call them back and hopefully you'll get someone different who can explain things better.)

Creditors account for debts in an IVA in different ways and what appears on credit reports is irrelevent. They also sell debts on. By contacting them you are possibly muddying the waters and, indeed, you should not be contacting your creditors directly anyway.

Why do you think you no longer need an IVA ? You still owe the debts. And, what exactly is your complaint with Creditfix ?
My opinions are merely that .. opinions based on experience. Always seek professional advice.
