DFD always asked for 3 months bank statements. I never found it intrusive (since my entire financial status was laid bare to set up the IVA anyway) - just assumed it was proof of DD's and such and DFD never queried other expenses such as food shopping or drawing out cash - why would they.

IVA approved Aug 2008 - 6 year term - last payment made 6 Oct 2014. CC received 14 Nov 2014.
ours are so complicated they will need a PhD to suss it all. We have several bank accounts/savings accounts and money gets moved around all over the place. An electronic version of the old fashoned pot system.
I think that when transferred the same stance on reviews should be undertaken by the new company rather than trying to upset and change people into their way. I never sent one bank statement in and would be peeved if I had to start now especially if my IVA was coming up for completion.
IVA final payment left the bank on the 26th January 2013...looking forward to a debt free future.
I am going to ask if I can carry out same annual review as I had with PJG, ie. 12 months payslips and P60, shall see what response I get.
If others have done this please let me know.
It'll be interesting to see what happens when you take this stance with them.
If they were checking spending then they'd want receipts not bank statements. And think about uplift. When you get to keep 50% of it... Who says where you can and can't spend that?
Spending is literally impossible to track and they wouldn't even try in my opinion.
My guess is they scan quickly through them looking for undeclared income over the windfall threshold which is £500 in my case.
I cannot see why firms want bank statements either unless they are looking for undeclared income. We do not demand bank statements but we do check P60s and wage slips.
How you spend your own money is your own business and if you can save a few quid shopping in Lidl rather than Waitrose then that is of no concern to your IP.
I wish we had the time to audit the bank statements of all our clients which would be impossible if the supervisor is only paid 15% of realisations. But give us 23% and we might be able to employ enough staff for this job......
I spoke to a supervisor and resolutions officer today and both stated that Creditfix do not always need them, as long as they have payslips, p60's and the statement for the month of review.
