What is it with this company? I swear if I could sell my soul to get out of this I would. Every month there is something else to unsettle and upset us. I was so careful choosing my IP and have been dumped with this shower through no fault of mine.
They can shove their phone calls!
they never answer!
recovering I feel your frustration when you chose carefully initially. It's just not fair, original terms and conditions of inherited clients should be adhered to in my opinion.
IVA final payment left the bank on the 26th January 2013...looking forward to a debt free future.
CF are beyond a joke. I have 6 payments left, one of which is next week. I am not changing over from the SO that has worked fine for 5.5 years and they are not getting my CVV code.
Might just be time for Mr. Stroppy Awkward-Obstinate to make yet another appearance!

I have had enough
Let's never forget that CF definitely share the same ethos and practices as The IVA Advice company did. It's OK, nothing would change etc... How hollow those words sound now, eh?
I've also had issues getting through on the phone; hold for 15 mins and then it cuts me off every time. Terrible, terrible service.
The largest companies are only getting around 60 new clients per month and one of them last year started moving out of dmp.
The more we refer to companies that we are comfortable with the more impact there will be.
Referrals from this board are worth their weight in gold.
Ps the other half doesn't contribute but they say other boards are just talking shops for iva professionals I.e. a client presents a problem, they try and resolve.
IVA started March 2011, Completed March 2016 and certificate issued 11 days after final payment. It was not always easy but then some of the best decisions aren't.
word of mouth I agree is powerful and people will vote with their feet.
We can at least advise posters and those just looking in to take a very wide snap shot of people whom to talk to when setting out on their journey to debt freedom

Just picked up on this!
No no no!
Im not giving them my full bank details. Im pretty sure youre advised to never release that information for personal security reasons etc. I dont have the time to call them monthly to pay and rely on the SO to remember the payment each month. Its b***** ridiculous to expect customers to do that. Theyre awful at andwering the phone and when I work and have kids to run around after theres to much risk of it being forgotten and Im not calling while at work as noone knows. Whatever next! Wish we coukd get out of this and rid ourselves of this awful company.
Ask to see evidence that they are FULLY compliant with the ALL 127 controls of the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS) and ask for fully documented evidence demonstrating that they are compliant. If they can't provide it don't hand over any card detail.
As with abbiesmum - if you are at work all day plus have family to look after then the only time you could phone would be evenings and weekends when the office is probably shut! There is no way I would hand over my card details to them.
If you have a cheque book you could always offer to send them a cheque every month.

most basic accounts do not have cheque books. I just don't see what is wrong with a standing order? it has worked well for years. The only thing I can put it down to is they have no control over SO which makes me even more suspicious
I had a standing order for mine and it worked very well. I did, however, have a full account and could have sent a cheque but you do wonder why they are changing things.

Indeed; SO is controlled by the debtor. A move to recurring card payments puts the control in the hands of CreditFix.
Interesting:
"Recurring payments (also called continuous payment authorities - CPAs) feel like direct debits but aren't. Often used by payday lenders, porn websites, subscription sites and more, they allow vendors to take money from your card whenever they think they're owed.
Until 2009, only the company could cancel them, you couldn’t. Yet even though you now have a right to tell your bank to cancel, many bank staff didn’t know this - and still don't - and failed to do so. If you asked them to cancel and they didn’t, you can now reclaim those payments.
