Experian is one, Equifax is another and I think there is another one, but can't remember what that one is.

I think its just to ensure they are informed that the IVA is completed and is recorded as so. I assume they are notified anyway but i guess its incase they are not
Steve.

IVA approved!

I've no intention of going into debt again ... so I don't really care what Credit Agencies think of me [:D][:D][:D]

Surely your Ip should be doing this given that you have just helped to pay his wages for the past 5 years!!!
Discharged today the 8th feb 2012. View is much brighter now.
Continuing to rebuild our credit worthiness.

Not your IP's role, they act on behalf of creditors. Down to you to inform the CRA's and get those files cleaned up.

Just one point, even if you do not want credit again it is still important to get your CRA file cleaned up.

Still will be a minimum of 6 years before the IVA comes off, but at least it will be marked satisfied. While your at it I'd get all those defaults sorted too which were included within the IVA
We're willing to wipe the slate clean, give you a fresh start. All that we're asking in return is your cooperation.

Just to confirm, thats 6 years from when the IVA started. So after the 5 years, there should only be one year left. or is it 6 years from when the IVA is completed, meaning a total of 11 years[:0]

It should be a maximum of 6 years from when your creditors meeting was held, but some creditors have been incorrectly marking defaults on my file post iva creditors meeting date.

VERY VERY NAUGHTY OF THEM

This will get sorted just as soon as I get that certificate of completion as nearer that time I'll be writing to the CRA's to get the dates corrected under both the Consumer Credit Act and Data Protection Act's

Saying that, I got some offer through my bank a good while ago about a loan[:0], not that I asked for one, any way they said it got declined (which I could of told them, if they bothered[:(!])
Anyway the bloke on the phone said my file has got that I am bankrupt[:0].whats that about then.
Obviously I will have to sort this once my IVA is completed?

Hi
It's six years from the date of your IVA acceptence. After this it will fall off the bottom of the credit report.
I am not sure if it pays to let the agencies know, could any adjustment to your credit file stay on the record for another six years ?
Personally I would let the six year time statute clear your credit file
Regards
