Morning guys
I have just phoned the local court to ask when rob can go in and I have been told any day except monday and he just waits.
When I checked on the cost I was told £150 for a single person's bankruptcy is this right as I thought it was 400 and something.
Whe I asked if he should take anything else in with him she said anything that he thought might be useful and if its used its used. What sort of stuff would anyone recommend.
We are just waiting for the final forms to be returned to us, they are being checked by joanne our helper.
many thanks guys
jayne

The BR fees for a single BR are £495. I think the £150 is the court fee, which can be reclaimed if you are on certain benefits. I didn't take anything with me to court apart from the BR papers - have you checked with the court how many copies you need? Some courts say 1 copy and others 3.

We didn't take anything other than the forms and the fees. One thing they ask for is any credit/bank cards as you have to hand them in, (if you still have them, we destroyed ours long before br!!!)
The court fee can be claimed if you are in receipt of certain benefits or on a low income. The forms are available from the court and I'm sure they can be handed in with the forms.
Skippy, has the fees gone up? I'm sure we paid £485 each just in Feb '08. I would check before jayrob just incase you don't have enough when you turn up.
The CAB advised us to have no money on us as the court officials can claim any cash on you for the br but they didn't ask so not quite sure how true that is.....
It's nice to be back......
