24 months with our water company Jan which is good. Anything to save a penny these days though, would love a water butt but my garden is just not big enough. x

Lesley, you can get slimline water butt. Our garden is really narrow (half the width of a normal garden) and we recently bought a slimline water butt from Homebase. They are £34.99 and come with the stand, tap and diverter.

Ours is quite a slim one, can't remember where we had it from but it was £25 and came with the diverted and the tap.

That's good Lesley. We've got until the middle of May to decide about outs.

I'll take a look at those thanks for that Skippy, I do feel it would be beneficial for us to have one.

What do you think Jan are you continuing on the meter? x

Is there a saving at present? can you see I'm worried and I'm trying to convince hubby about the water butt and it's one of those sharp intake of breath moments as I don't want it in the actual garden area we have a fenced off bit for the bins and it sounds like it will be a bit of extra work but according to him impossible!

There was initially but we are using a lot more water at the moment

The water butt just has to stand on some bricks and be attached to the drain pipe to cat h all that rainwater we're not having at the moment!!!
