I am allowed to claim for my dogs, imcluding insurance. A Lot of posters are allowed that so I'd question it to be honest.

Which company are you with ditzydoodle? If they won't allow you to claim for your pets I would seriously consider looking elsewhere. Pets are NOT a luxury!!!

Walk away and go elsewhere and when they ask why tell them that pets are NOT a luxury item!!!!!

Ditzy is going with DFD so be interesting to see why they are saying this is a luxury.

Come on -- pets are not a luxury, they are family members for which you have a responsibility to feed and care for !

We got Fred after the start of the IVA, so I accept that his upkeep is my responsibility, but, if he was here pre-IVA I would expect to be able to care for him in my allowances.
My opinions are merely that .. opinions based on experience. Always seek professional advice.

We have three dogs - don't claim for the last one as she became part of the family post IVA but we do get allowances for the others.
