My IVA completed in 2009 and one of my creditors was an Abbey(MBNA/Santander) credit card and an Alliance and Leics Loan(Santander). Since my IVA, I've got married, changed my name and changed the name on my main bank account. I've now received a cheque in my old name as I didn't update my car insurance and I was wondering whether I could pay the cheque into a pre-IVA current account, that's still in my old name, that wasn't included in the IVA as there was no debt attached OR could Santander take the money against the loan and the credit card?

Hi

A creditor can't use funds to off set a debt once your IVA has concluded [as there is no debt owed !] so you should be fine
