I have just startd an IVA. Could I go and live abroad during its term

Yes, you can, so long as you stick to the terms that were agreed. You will have to continue to make your payments to the supervisor in pounds sterling, and report any changes in your earnings and expenditure arising from moving overseas.

If you are a homeowner and sell the home to move overseas, it is likely that the IVA will require your share of the proceeds of sale to be paid into the arrangement.

Hi Andy,

Its not the most desirable way to pay off your IVA, as like Phil said you would still need to convert the payment in GBP. Out of interest what country were you thinking of living in? and what is your disposable income amount?
