Does anyone know the going rate for scrap copper per kilo?

Absolutely no idea! Ring your local scrap yard, they should be able to tell you.

Good link Wizz, my hubby is allowed to keep all his copper from work jobs (off cuts) and I would laugh at the beginning of his little tub of copper that has grown and it's actually worth having.
IVA final payment left the bank on the 26th January 2013...looking forward to a debt free future.

The company i work for buys in metals for use in our process. At one point some time ago the copper price spiked and for a while a 2p piece was worth 3p in scrap.
Aucto Splendore Resurgo.
IVA accepted May 2007.
Extended by 12 months in lieu of equity March 2012.
F+F offer accepted May 2012.
C of C received August 2012.
IVA dropped off credit file 24th May 2013.

It's always being nicked as it is quite valuable - the number of housing developments that have empty houses broken into for the copper is amazing.

True Jan, a recent gas explosion in a block of flats in Runcorn Cheshire was attributed to copper pipe being pinched, miraculously nobody was seriously injured.http://www.insidehousing.co.uk/news/hou ... 90.article

It's not just from churches - one of my FB friends had lead stolen from their bay window whilst they were in bed!

Yup it doesnt even matter if its nailed down,bolted together or attached by screws some will try to steal things thst others work hard for!
