I was told on the phone tonight by an iva specialist that if my husband does iva then I wouldn't be able to use my catalogues as I would be tied to the iva as we live in the same house.
Can you tell me if this is right as I thought iva were individual?

What utter rubbish. If you want to use your catalogues and are not insolvent yourself, then that is your choice and no-one elses.

Thankyou so much for your help in repling to all my questions today melanie, You are invalueable,It really made me sway from an IVA to doing a debt management plan I think maybe my best thing to do is discuss it all with my husband and get back to you via your website and you will be able to tell me which I should do. I have had so much advise today my head is spinning have only just had tea and no doubt will be up at the crack of dawn stressing again.
We are basically robbing peter to pay paul at the moment, but need to do what is best due to the fact of this house thing that will come up most likely in the next couple of year. Not sure whether dmp or iva or stuggle on and then remortgage when house is ours.
regards jayne
