i pay into a critical ilness policy £46 a month, if god forbid the policy paid out would i have to pay this all to the creditors

Critical illness is paid to you as compensation for being unable to work in the future, so I would not class that as a windfall - indeed it could be specifically excluded from the IVA.

thanks for that,if my husband received compensation from a road traffic accident in the line of duty would this have to be paid to the creditors.
