Hello Oscar,I have not recieved any info from you, you may have me mixed up with someone else, but sincerely a great big thankyou for your offer to help me, I am still quite poorly with depression, still very isolated but am getting help with the Mental Health Team, who have been so kind to me. I am in tears most ot the time, but they have prescribed sleeping tabs so I have had a few nights of blissful oblivion. I have so much to say, and I will be back on here later with a catch up of my predictament (is that spelt right!!) So for now bye and god bless you for caring about a stranger..xxx

Hi Jilly
Glad you're still posting It's good that you're getting help and now getting some sleep - make sure you eat properly as well (I know you probably dont feel like eating but you need to eat to keep your strength up)
Your predicament will get sorted, i'm sure.
As I said previously, you're not alone - but people have got over the problems and this site proves it can be overcome.
Keep your chin up.:)

Good to hear from you Jilly, so pleased you are getting help. The way you are feeling now will go away - things will get better though it might be hard to think that right now.[:)]

Hello Everyone, just thought I would let you know the latest news, I have a letter today from my solicitor telling me that the IP have asked them to hold any funds from the sale of the house, which is their rights I believe whilst they arrange a meeting with the creditors, however they are not telling me anything they will not give me any little hope to cling on to, I cannot even start to find somewhere to live as I have no spare money not even to register with letting agents, why do they do this? How long does it take to sort these things out? I am sure my IP company are not doing their job right but how do find out, is it fair to have people clinging to life, when after all we are the victims of the banks, who threw money at us, we are not saying we dont want to pay it back, we could have chosen bankruptcy, we have played fair all through this. My head is exploding, my car broke down yesterday, it had to be towed to a garage, so there is going to be a huge bill for that, I have to drive as I am registered disabled, so my car is a very important part of my life. Any words of knowledge or advice would be so welcome. With love from Jilly xxxxxx

I think you need to ask your IP under what authority the have instructed your solicitor to act upon. You ought to be allowed to retain sufficient money from the house sale to relocate yourself comfortably - but this may need the approval of your creditors.

Jilly, if you are disabled, have you thought about trying for a motability car? If you have, or can get, higher rate mobility allowance then you would be eligible for one.

Hi all, just wondering what 'frugal friends' is, and how to join in, I need friends at the moment to keep me sane, I have been looking at privately rented properties and it is scary, as I will need so much money up front, I still have not heard from IP about my case, not even a response to a e-mail I sent just asking for an update, how rude!! I know that entering into an IVA is the best one can do when debt has piled high, but I did not see what was ahead marriage breakdown etc, my health is poor, I have fibromyalgia, 3 spinal operations and severe depression, I am not happy at the moment except for the days I see my gorgeous little grand daughter, who is the only reason I am here right now. In spite of all this, I always think that once you are down (right down) there is only one way to go and that is UP, I hope you all have a lovely weekend, I will let you know how its going next week. Once again Big thanks for all messages of support, they have helped xxxxxxxx

Hi Jilly,

If you go into your profile you will see a section which says 'Add a Frugal Friend' with a drop down list. Scroll down the list of members until you find the one you want and then click the add button. If the other person does this as well you will be able to contact each other offline.

Hi all
Another development!!! After some consideration and deep anxieties, my husband and I have decided to stay together and get some help with regard to our future together. We have also decided to take the house off the market and stick with the IVA for the next 2 years, by which time we will be able to sell the house and keep any equity for ourselves. This has taken a tremendous lot of the pressure from my shoulders, and the stress levels are down, I still need a lot of support and friendships, as I feel that I have been torn into pieces. So instead of worrying about where I will get rental deposits etc from, I can worry about which plants I want to start growing for next year. I feel quite safe now, I am paying off my debts, and I still have my hubby, I hope you will share in my relief. I will stay on here because you have given me so much strength and support, and I will gladly share my experiences with anyone who asks. Much Love. Jilly
