Does anyone know if there is anything like the Telephone Preference Service for mobile phones? I keep getting calls and it's annoying! I've looked on the TPS website but can't find anything about mobiles.
I'd agree with ginger3232 - speak to your mobile company and they will be able to help.

It's annoying when you do get them though isn't it? You could try changing your number and I believe they have an ex directory thing as well.

I've changed my number in the past with O2 and had no problems. The only cold calls I get are when my contract is up for renewal and I'm afraid I let rip the last time it happened and they never bothered me again!

I don't really want to change my number as I've had this one for years and I often use it instead of my home number. Oh well, looks like I'll have to put up with it.
If I ever get a human cold call they'll get and earful!
"The TPS can accept the registration of mobile telephone numbers, however it is important to note that this will prevent the receipt of marketing voice calls but not SMS (text) messages. If you wish to stop receiving SMS marketing messages, please send an 'opt-out' request to the company involved."
In my experience trying to work which company sent SMS marketing messages is not that easy...but at least you can register to stop (reputable) people calling you
Debt problems, what debt problems? I'm not in De Thames, I'm in De Nile.
Thanks thefsg, I've just registered both our mobiles and the home number.
Since I posted I've had another call, this time the number came up but it was a silent call. When I googled the number it turns out it's a company who say they are linked to Vodafone and try and get you to extend your contract. I only upgraded at Christmas so I'm ready for them if they call - hopefully they might speak so I can have an argument with them!
Let them have it both barrels Skip! These companies always say they something to do with your mobile operator when they're obviously not.
We had problems with daughter and one of these companies a couple of years ago and it got quite nasty.

Well I'm now registered with TPS and the sooner it kicks in the better! I've just had another phone call and this time they spoke to me - I had a go about cold calling and he tried to tell me that the company is affiliated with Vodafone. They will be getting a call from me later on as well!
If Vodafone are selling on details to dodgy companies I won't be happy!
I keep getting a Spanish number ring me, I did answer on Saturday to tell them I can't afford an holiday (although apparently it's free). The number rang again today...I didn't answer x
IVA final payment left the bank on the 26th January 2013...looking forward to a debt free future.
