When An Iva Proposal like mine is in place.. Will all the accounts which are in the propsal be closed for good if approved that is?.. Will it be like a complete fresh start with your new card??

Not long to go now 14 days till my meeting... [:0]

Do you mean can you reuse your credit card with the balance wiped??
If so , definately not. Your cards will be cancelled and you would be in trouble for using them, or trying to use them.

You will not be allowed to access the accounts which have been included in the IVA.
Best Regards

Sorry Clive. I just read my reply to you and it sounded rather harsh. I didn't mean it to sound that way.
I paid a partial settlement to MBNA for two credit cards and they said in their confirmation letter that if I tried to use the cards again the agreeement would be null and void.
Of course, like you, I don't want to use the cards again.Plus I too cut them up but somehow I still felt nervous and threatened by that.

Yeah fingers crossed for yours & Barbs on the 28th also.. Yeah I totally agree with you regarding credit cards.. I hate them.. If my Iva is accepted it will be a fresh start to my life.. Spending only what i can afford.. I think you learn from your mistakes.. And i don't intend to to make the same with my money again..

Clive xx

All the best for the 28th i wish you all the luck in the world :)

Not too long to wait now Barbara. If all goes well which I am sure it will then you will feel the stress lift. It can take a month or two to settle into budgeting but it is so nice not to have those statements or the worry of whether you have enough to get through the month.
All the best to you all.
