British Gas are awful. They sent us a bill for £350 to our current address, but the energy consumption was for the house we hadn't been in for 10 months and was for that period. It took ages to convince them we didn't owe them anything and they were threatening all sorts...until a letter came saying they owed us £1.60 [:D]

Controversial, but I am on pre pay now with Scottish Power. Works out well for us given OH's 4 weekly pay packet.
Completion Certificate received September 2012.

We switched to British Gas as they were the only ones who would let us fix our tariffs. I'm happier having a fixed tariff as Dave is self employed and his salary varies from month to month so having as much fixed as we can means he has a starting point for what he needs to earn.

We've also got British Gas boiler cover which is brilliant. We've taken the cheaper option so we have to pay a call out charge of £50, but when our boiler was playing up last year that was all it cost to get it fixed even though the engineer had to come out 3 times!

We have boiler & electric care with SWALEC. We pay £18 a month, but the times we've had them out it more than pays for itself. Had to call them out on Christmas Day a few years back - imagine how much that would've cost!
