Thanks Barb ... I agree with you Barb, one of the things that getting into and having to deal with debt issues does is to really make you realise what's important in life. Talking to some of the people, including the experts like John Tegg, at the Birmingham meeting last week made me realise what an inspirational bunch of 'real' people we all are here [:)]

I hope that our paths might cross physically soon at one of Andy's meetings ... either down south or up north [:)]

It can be very scary looking at theproposal document, I was really scared when I saw the court details listed.
I remember when I made my first call to a company for advice when I realised I was in financial trouble and she said 'yes you are insolvent' - i got i a bit of a huff until I realised she was right and I was living off credit to pay credit and digging a very deep hole for myself.

See the proposal as the next step and you are getting closer to the end point. Just sit down, have a good read, make a note of any questions which arise and then put it away and don't keep looking at it is my advice.

You are all so near to the end now, stay positive and it should not be too long now. You will not be able to stop yourself thinking all the 'what if's' but try to invisage an acceptance and keep your spirits up.

Angela - what a lovely staffy - I used to have one years ago who was white with dark patches and he was such a big softy!!
Be positive & look after yourself, there are more important things in life than debts....

Best Wishes

Forgot to say also that yes Melanie is lovely and is so easy to get hold of before, during and after acceptance of your iva's.
I have emailed the odd question at funny hours and am gobsmaked when she replies quickly - I would think that really unusual outside of the normal 9-5 services of most offices

It can seem a neverending time waiting for a proposal, then waiting for a meeting, the time seems to pass so slowly but in reality it is not too long.
i suppose its all the worry and stress of creditors calling that makes it seem so long.

My iva was approved in November and it took me a month or so to settle down as I kept thinking it was too good to be true and something would go wrong, also I worried I could not manage without credit! I can honestly say that it has been a real turning point for me and I have never been happier. I know where I am from one month to the next and feel I have my life back under control.

If you get down days try to remember that the majority of all proposed va's are accepted (around the 90% mark I believe) so the odds really are in your favour[:)]

The forum has also been a tremendous support to me and still is and having gone to the last frugal friends meeting and meeting some it was great, a fun evening[:)]

Very best wishes to you

Evenin, just thought i'd check in before bed! Ang what a lovely picture, isn't it nice we can show our pets like this,it's makes everybody more real if you know what i mean.I don't know about you but i find myself saying to my other half "oh today Ang said this and you should see the scarf Emma's dog has and Skippy did that and Barb wishes us well"etc.I'm sure he thinks i'm mad but it's great to be able to talk to you lot about things. As i've mentioned before he leaves everything to me and tends to say we'll do whatever you think.
Im still nervous about seeing the proposals but they are a neccessary means to an end so bring 'em on ! Anyway going to read a few more posts then off to bed me thinks, night all xx
CAN'T BUY ME LOVE !!
