Hi everyone.
Im with Mel and ive emailed her about this but shes away so wondered if any of you can help/reassure/advise.
Im back to work after my maternity leave and as a nurse i have to do shifts. I needed fixed shifts to co-ordinate childcare provisions for the girls and as hubby works 6 days a week (inc sat&sun) i have had to agree to working just weekdays when kids are cared for. Family cant help at weekends.
As I wont have unsocial hours enhancements anymore it will mean i earn less than what I initially quoted on our I&E. Although until i get a few pay slips Im not sure exactly how much...wont be loads as didnt do many before mat leave.
My question is should i have spoke to mel before agreeing to this pattern (this is only way i can work and be a mum so had little choice really) And do we need to revise our payment? do a new I&E or wait til review (April 14)?
Also as alot of people, our gas has gone up :-( £85 a month instead of £68 when we first did I&E.
Im so scared of screwing this up by innocently doing somethibg wrong.
Can anyone provide any advice?
My question is

I went months and months struggling and waited till my review to do some thing about it after going back to work after maternity leave in the fear I would fail the iva. But my advice to you would be to talk to your ip cause they can drop it and if needed dropping further thet will do a review. Dont suffer just pet them know

I think the idea of a IVA is so your not struggling to live but paying people back

Speak to your IP im sure she will shed more light on it and it wont be as bad as you think.

Whats your email Kelly? I will forward the email ive sent to Mel.
I didnt mean to take a drop in salary but trying to fit my hours around hubbys 6 day week and school and nursery hasnt been easy and this was only way but worried because of the drop in wages. I dont think we will struggle but i dont want to fail because of a stupid oversight.

I know how difficult it is to juggle work and children and understand that no matter what plans you make they can always change at the last minute, sometimes we just have to do whatever works

You can email me kellyosadare@pjgrecovery.com

Hopefully you can resolve this and agree a way forward. Your change in hours is essential to keep your life going forward ... Without you working your IVA will more than likely fail .... By working with your IP i am confident a way forward can be found for you.

Thanks Kelly! You and Laura and whole team are all fab. The issues others have with communication with their team, it really comforts me to know youre only a simple email away and things are sorted.
It wasnt so much i was concerned more I didnt know whether to mention anything now or at review.
Keep up the great work! Many thanks.

Thanks for your kind words Abbiesmum :-)

It is much better to get these queries cleared up so you don't worry about them! Lets face it we have enough to do with children and work without additional worries x

At least if you deal with things as they arise your annual review will not spring any surprises
