You were lucky Stephen - the agencies don't normally do it, it's up to you to contact the relevant creditors to get your record sorted.

I know i think i was lucky as ive read you have to do it yourself. i wasnt so lucky with Equifax and there taking there time even though my creditors have wrote to me to say "yeah, we've spoke to the CRA's and have asked them to update your records" Still showing incorectly. Im glad im doing it now, so when the 6th year comes, all will be correct!

Am i right in thinking that banks could get this information from the insolvency service? (whoever they are) say, if you wished to apply for a mortgage or current account ETC, if they keep a record for 2 years?
I doubt that, but at least if there is a record somewhere for a couple of years, and someone were to contest whether there was a IVA there is something to go back to.

As long as it's out of the public domain that's all. It drops off at the CRA after 6 years from when it came into effect.
We're willing to wipe the slate clean, give you a fresh start. All that we're asking in return is your cooperation.
